51UIX6QGY2L.SL1600.jpg I was looking for a tube amp for my ‘retro’ music listening room and I think I found the perfect one.

What is in the box

This little tube amp has great sound and lots of source flexibility with some excellent features. In my opinion, some cheaper amplifiers can sound cold and bit mechanical, but not this amplifier, I believe the tubes provides some analog processing which helps warm the sound over all the inputs including bluetooth. 61VL+N0yHRL.SL1600.jpg

I am very impressed with the feature set for this price and I love that it comes with tone controls and a remote. I have at least 4 different sources now plugged into this little amp and I could not be happier. Unboxing it, it was a little heavier than I imagined but that does give it a sense of quality and the 2 little tubes provided some nostalgia. I also like that the product include the USB-DAC cable.

Specifically, I have connected my new Audio-Technica Record player (via RCA cable) and my Q3020i bookshelf speakers (see the picture) and Yamaha subwoofer connected. For some modern music convenience, I also have an Airport Extreme connected via an optical cable and a raspberry pi network streamer running Volumio connected to the USB DAC input. And as well as all these connections the amp also has bluetooth available.

Rating

I gave this a Pragmatic rating of 4 - it has a great price and the tube is nice and it has great features.

Conclusion

This was a great tube amplifier with a lovely look but in the end I went off tube amplifiers
